Built around the mat.
San Diego Judo is a judo dojo in Poway. One sport, taught with purpose, to students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.

We teach Judo. That's the whole plan.
Judo is a journey, and everyone starts somewhere. Students learn how to move, fall, and control their bodies before progressing to more advanced techniques. With consistent practice, those fundamentals become second nature, and students build confidence along the way.
Our coaches bring experience from competing at the national and international levels, but what matters most is how we use that experience to teach. We focus on fundamentals, technical details, and helping every student understand and improve at their own pace.
You don't have to be an athlete to start judo. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or you're working toward your next competition, there's a place for you at San Diego Judo.

Community, not clientele.
Judo is built around training with other people. You learn from your training partners, challenge each other, and grow together. Over time, your training partners become friends, teammates, and part of your community.
Parents get to know each other while watching from the sidelines. Kids train and grow alongside the friends they've made on the mat. Adults build friendships through training and randori.
We want San Diego Judo to feel like a community you belong to, not just a place you come to work out.
